My passion lies in developing individuals and witnessing their growth and transformation. This passion led me to pursue a career in Human Resources, where I have acquired 10 years of experience in various areas such as talent attraction, employee engagement, performance management, and with a focus on learning and development. I have gained valuable corporate experience across multiple industries such as Apparel, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail/Mixed development and E-commerce. I also had the opportunity to work as a Private Sector Partnerships Associate at YouLead, a USAID-funded project to tackle youth unemployment and promote gender inclusion in employment. It was a fulfilling experience where I utilized my knowledge and skills to co-create solutions towards a larger purpose. Currently, I am the Head of Talent Development and Engagement at Daraz, a rapidly growing marketplace in Sri Lanka that offers a wide range of products from fashion to household items. In my role, I proactively identify essential skills required for the growth and sustainability of the business and create programs, policies, methods, and models to upskill and reskill the talent within the organization. Additionally, I lead engagement initiatives, policies, and activities to boost morale and retain talent within the organization. Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about giving back to my community and continue to find ways to contribute towards the betterment of youth and women in Sri Lanka.
