What stuck with me most was your honesty about being out of your depth sometimes and having to learn fast under pressure. That really resonated. Like I mentioned, my long-term goal is to become a Detection Engineer in the cloud, but for now, I’m focusing on deepening my Cloud and DevOps knowledge before moving into Cloud Security. I’m not quite ready for Kubernetes yet, but I’d love to connect for coaching calls down the line—and hopefully some mentoring too. Lastly, it was refreshing to speak with another Somali in tech. Even small things, like mentioning making dua, meant a lot.

Fantastic session with Saed. We discussed many aspects of career development from personal roadmaps, building a public profile, to distinguishing the differences between a mid-level and a senior engineer. Before the session, one of my main concerns was a recent habit of mine, which was the lack of structure from a personal development POV.
