Let's RAP on BTP is a structured, hands-on bootcamp designed to give you a deep, practical understanding of the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model on SAP BTP and S/4HANA.

The focus is not just on learning what RAP is - it is on understanding how to think in RAP, how to approach requirements correctly, and how to build production-quality applications with confidence.

This edition is centered around building multiple RAP applications from scratch following real-world use cases and also include extending the apps progressively with the full range of RAP capabilities.

By the end of the bootcamp and probably few more days after, you will have built something meaningful, not just run through isolated examples.

Dates: Sept 26-30 2026
Time: 6PM IST on Weekend and 7:00 PM IST on Weekdays
Format: Live sessions (2–3 hours per session)

💡 What you'll learn and build

This is a learn → practice → ask → improve bootcamp. Each session is followed by practical tasks based on real project scenarios that you’ll complete before the next session. You’ll encounter errors, bring your doubts to the next session, and learn the reasoning behind the solutions.

This is not a watch-and-move-on video tutorial. The goal is to learn, practice, ask questions, and build RAP applications yourself.

ABAP developers who want a structured, practical entry into RAP and SAP BTP
Developers who have some exposure to RAP but want to go deeper and build something complete
Professionals who want more than just slides and definitions - and are ready to write real code

💡 Prerequisites?

Basic familiarity with CDS views or OData helps, but even if you’re starting new, I’ve got you covered.

I'll start with the fundamentals and build up with a clear structure.

🛠 Setup

Eclipse with ABAP Development Tools (ADT)
SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Trial) on a personal system (Preferably not on office network)

The Bootcamp is really helpful to start on RAP as a beginner . Lot of helpful insights and information were given all over the classes. Gave all the needed blogs, hands on scenarios to start RAP development on our own. Just one small recommendation, it can be at different timing. Maybe weekends, 3 hours a day would be good. Will get time to work on it before next class.
