About me
☑ A guy who hates randomness.
📌 Until 2019, I was this average MATH guy who was still struggling to justify and explain his hatred towards unpredictability. Lucky that I was, 2019 also became the year in which I had my love at first sight with STATISTICS. It transformed me.⏳
📌 I have a hard time making choices between seemingly random events. Ask me to pick a random day to get married; I cannot do it. For me, it's an optimization problem. I would instead collect data to figure out the PERFECT date. The world of Statistics was thus nothing less than a shelter for me. In my bachelor's, I had this epiphany that from a certain sense, Statistics is just - "quantifying your intuition about the data" 💿 and there I was... on a pathway to becoming a STATISTICS guy.
📌 Fast forward to 2020 I was introduced to a new world🗺 with blended proportions of subjects like Linear Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, and a lot of Computer Science. The last subject being redundant... Which world isn't CS these days, am I right?🤖 So this new world was fascinating because here you break the traditional way of hard coding the rules and hack your way out by teaching the program "how-to-learn". This idea was like living on Mars. 🌆
📌 Spent time researching the subject, talked to few people, understood the requirements, and loved the pathway. Machine Learning it is. Among a few experts I interacted with, one told me that: "A lot of people want to learn Data Science and Machine Learning but only a few survive the journey." This quote has been etched in my memory ever since. I was ready to commit...
📌 I hate to choose options that are not strategic. ♟️
I am Hardworking and good at managing time. What's the proof?
📍 I have worked three part-time jobs in three years of my bachelor's while simultaneously maintaining decent grades.
📍 I have tried not to let an opportunity that involves learning slide by despite the situation not always playing out the fitting way. I got an exclusive opportunity to take a course on Data Science and Machine Learning during my final semester examinations(2020) and grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
📌 The data points about myself push me in the direction of building my career in Data Science. Currently, a student of the University of Delhi, Department of Operational Research, I am on the very quest of staying inside the indefinite loop of learning. (see banner).
