Human capabilities can be conceived as possibilities and need not be restricted by measuring and putting a cap on their limts. Creating Intellectual capital is becoming the order of the day. The changing significance of Human Resources and Human Possibilites, brings new perspectives. These include the following:
1. Every one should take charge of their own development. All of us
should therefore become our own HRD Managers;
2. An HR Professional today can play a much more significant role,
besides playing the role with a missionary zeal and spirit; for example,
HR Professionals could think ahead of their CEOs and influence their
thinking, etc. Therefore, the time has come for HR to lift itself up and
play a much more significant role;
3. HR’s main contribution in the future is going to be to make every
professional take charge of their own learning and help them become
their own HRD manager;
4. HR Professionals can be in the driver’s seat and bring about
transformation in their units and organization
