Through my journey in the field of psychology, I have understood and grown to appreciate myself as a deeply empathetic, sensitive, and patient individual. I believe every person to be capable and have a wish towards reducing their suffering and have a mindful experience of life, even when undergoing negative experiences. I see my role as a psychologist to facilitate an environment where this capacity of the person may be harnessed. Throughout my journey as a psychologist, I have worked with individuals having concerns such as depression, anxiety, school counselling,OCD, alcohol, and other substance abuse problems as well as interpersonal difficulties, sexuality-related difficulties, body image concerns, and individuals on a quest for better self-awareness. I work with a client-centered approach to therapy and include techniques from CBT, program of 12 steps of anonymous for addicted and interpersonal schools of therapy. I find satisfaction in collaborating with clients towards a goal of self-discovery and self-acceptance, as my own journey in psychology has helped me on this quest, which continues every day. I enjoy literature and gaining perspectives on life experience from various mediums such as books, movies, poetry as well as interacting with people every day. In my free time, I enjoy travelling as one of the method of healing mind.
