As a Talent Acquisition & Training Advisor at Sika, I support the recruitment and training needs for Central and Western Canada, working with internal and external stakeholders in all facets of hiring, onboarding, and retention. I have successfully managed the Temporary Foreign Workers project, filling 100 blue-collar jobs with foreign workers, and assisting them with LMIA and PR applications. I have also facilitated feedback and coaching sessions, administered disciplines and performance reviews, and ensured compliance with labor laws and human rights. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and two postgraduate certificates in Human Resource Management and International Business Management from Mohawk College. I recently completed a continuous education course in People Analytics at the University of Toronto, enhancing my skills in data-driven decision-making and strategic HR practices. I am passionate about creating constructive solutions within an inclusive and diversified environment, and advising executives on issues regarding implementing policies and procedures, safety and wellness training, and recruiting top talents.
