About me

Hello, I'm a psychologist with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (PGDGC), and qualifications in both UGC-NET and GATE Psychology. My journey in mental health has taken me through clinical, educational, and community settings, where I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and personal challenges. I have gained clinical exposure at the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, and have also worked with organizations such as Child In Need Institute (CINI), Kolkata, and Bubbles Centre for Autism, Bangalore. Currently, I work in a counselling role, conducting counselling sessions, psychological assessments, psychoeducation, and mental health support. I believe that every person is different, and so is every therapeutic journey. My approach is influenced by different psychological perspectives, including CBT, REBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Trauma-Informed practices. Rather than working from a single framework, I take an integrative approach, drawing from different perspectives based on the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual. I have also contributed to research, with my work being published in the International Journal of Indian Psychology. As a therapist, I believe that people are often more resilient than they realize. Sometimes we become so caught up in our struggles that we lose sight of our own strengths and possibilities. I do not see therapy as a place where answers are given. Instead, I see it as a space where awareness, clarity, and understanding can grow. My aim is to offer a warm and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, make sense of what you are going through, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you. You can contact me through this platform or by my email (yourtherapistritwika@gmail.com). Thank you for being here. If you feel this might be the right space for you, I'd be glad to connect with you.
