Ritwik Raj Saxena is a Software Engineer, Scientist in the realms of Computers, Mechatronics and Integrated Biological Sciences, Author, Collaborator, and Advisor. His journey started over a decade ago, after his high school, writing the National Science Talent Search Exam, exiting as a top achiever. He competed in medical and engineering entrance tests, none of which is a small feat in an immensely populous and competitive nation, and brought laurels home. Out of two lucrative options, ceding one for the other is not easy. But he made his decision went into engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), a top institution with state-of-the-art STEM facilities. After graduating in Software Engineering, he landed a job at Samsung. Seeking better callings, he dropped out and prepped for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), concurrently starting his career as an author, editor, and peer reviewer. Based on his fine scores in GATE, he enrolled in master’s in biomedical engineering at DTU. While there, he got drawn towards being an educator. He had tutoring experience and he converted it from a dilettante’s hobby to a skill. He cleared many nationwide exams, while authoring, editing and co-authoring research articles, prose, and poetry. As part of alumni team at Coding Club, he forayed in consulting. Being educated in US was his foremost aim and he finally got a chance to go to University of Minnesota in Fall 2023. As an Indian, it was daunting, given his middle-class background which gave him limited financial resources. He beat all hurdles and bagged high scores in GRE and TOEFL, unleashing a new phase in his life. At the University, he is a Graduate Researcher in Computer Science and a Teaching Assistant in Physics and Astronomy. The heftiness of his new duties marks his inception towards cultivating a steadfast mindset. With a decade of experience and a diverse skillset in STEM, arts, networking, and writing, he presents determined competition to his peers. However, being international is becoming an obstacle in his career growth, with organizations openly choosing less qualified citizens instead of people like him. At this stage, regression is not an option for him, and he is unwilling to let his situation have ascendency over his potential. He shows perseverance and dedication to be able to forge an indelible path in the industry, where he seeks to disrupt the discriminatory fabric as an avant-gardist. His indomitable goals apart, he is an immanent entrepreneur, believing that circumstances cannot cripple one's drive towards desired outcomes.
