Preparing for a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer interview in the UK? This 1:1 mock interview is designed to give you realistic interview practice followed by personalised feedback on your performance.

I’m currently working full-time as a Sponsored Data Scientist in the UK, with over 4 years of prior Data Engineering experience in India and a Master’s degree in Data Science from the UK.

Throughout my career, I’ve been through multiple technical and behavioural interview processes for Data Science, Data Engineering and Analytics roles in the UK. This session is built around those real-world experiences.

🎯 How the 45-Minute Session Works

First 30 Minutes — Mock Interview

I’ll conduct the session like an actual interview based on your experience, CV, target role and job description.

Depending on your role and experience, questions may cover:

  1. SQL and data querying
  2. Python
  3. Data Engineering concepts
  4. ETL/ELT and data pipelines
  5. Cloud and modern data platforms
  6. Data modelling and warehousing
  7. Data Science and Machine Learning concepts
  8. AI/ML concepts for relevant roles
  9. Data visualisation and analytics
  10. Problem-solving and scenario-based questions
  11. Questions based directly on your CV/projects
  12. Behavioural and competency-based questions
  13. Communication and explaining technical concepts

The exact interview will vary depending on whether you're targeting a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer position.

I won’t use AI to generate questions during the interview. I’ll use my own prepared question bank and may ask relevant follow-up questions based on your answers.

📊 Final 15 Minutes — Detailed Feedback

Once the mock interview is complete, we’ll spend approximately 15 minutes reviewing your performance.

I’ll give you feedback on areas such as:

  1. What you answered well
  2. Where your answers could be stronger
  3. Technical areas you should revise
  4. How clearly you communicated your thinking
  5. Structure and depth of your answers
  6. How you handled questions you didn't immediately know
  7. Behavioural interview performance
  8. Areas to focus on before your actual interview

The purpose isn't simply to tell you whether an answer was right or wrong. I want you to leave the session understanding what you need to improve and how you can prepare better for your next interview.
