MS Abroad Strategy — From Someone Who Did It
I'm the non-IIT kid who made it to UC Irvine, then to Google.
Failed JEE twice. B.Tech from GGSIPU, a college most Indian consultants haven't heard of. Took the GRE four times before I cracked it — final score 307-308, which every MS consultant will tell you isn't good enough. UC Irvine took a chance on me anyway. I started on academic probation with a 2.8 GPA. Finished at 3.3 with a Google offer.
