My name is Mohammed Rayaan and I am a journalist based in Chennai, India. 💌I guide Millennials and Gen Zs to seize the Internet's potential through journalism, writing, and digital entrepreneurship in my newsletter 'The Marina Emailer'. ✍🏽 I've worked as a Sub-Editor for The Hindu BusinessLine. Earlier, I was a features writer for DT Next, an English daily newspaper owned by the Dina Thanthi Group of Publications. Previously, I was with News Today, an English evening daily. I am passionate about journalism, creating sustainable newsrooms, tech, AI, community building, start-ups and the creator economy. 🏆In March 2022, I won a full $4,000 scholarship from Meta (Facebook) Journalism Project to pursue the 100-days online Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (City University of New York).
