Hello I am Rashid, Senior Software Engineer at HashedIn Technologies. I graduated in 2020 and started working at a service-based company. After about 1.5 years, I realised that I wasn't going to get the growth and hike I wanted at that company. So, I started looking for new job opportunities and identified that apart from development skills, two skills that would increase my chances of finding a better position: data structures and algorithms (DSA) and problem-solving skills. At the time, I was just an average programmer and was terrified of things like dynamic programming and data structures like trees and linked lists (I mean, who wouldn't be? They sound like a bunch of scary monsters straight out of a horror movie.). But I knew that if I wanted to make a change, I had to get out of my comfort zone and learn these skills. So, I made a roadmap for myself and dedicated 3 months of extreme hard work and discipline to learning and improving my DSA and problem-solving skills. The result? It paid off in a big way. I was able to land a new job that offered a higher salary and better opportunities for growth. And the best part? If I can do it, anyone can.
