I am a Global Markets Risk professional at BNP Paribas, specializing in Transaction Approval Committee (TAC) and New Activity Committee (NAC)/New Product Approval (NPA) frameworks within the Front Office environment. In my current role within the Chief Conduct and Control Office, I work at the intersection of Front Office, Risk, and Operations, supporting the approval and governance of complex and non-standard transactions across APAC. I coordinate closely with multiple stakeholders including Front Office, LOD2, COO functions, and senior management to assess operational risks, validate new activities, and ensure alignment with internal control and regulatory frameworks. My experience includes: - End-to-end management of TAC/NAC/NPA processes for new and complex transactions - Operational risk assessment for structured products and non-standard booking initiatives - Cross-functional collaboration with senior stakeholders (COO, senior management, global teams) - Analysis of transaction-level data, P&L impact, and governance documentation - Process improvement and automation using advanced Excel (VBA/macros) and data-driven approaches I am part of a newly established team and have contributed to building and scaling validation processes, gaining exposure to a wide range of products within Global Markets. Prior to my current role, I worked in database management, governance reporting, and operational risk, where I played a key role in process transformation and control frameworks. I led end-to-end transitions of client processes, defining workflows, establishing governance structures, and training junior analysts while acting as a central coordinator across teams. My role was closely aligned with operational risk management, where I partnered with quality management functions to ensure high standards of data integrity, control effectiveness, and regulatory alignment. I conducted periodic risk assessments, designed and implemented control frameworks, and actively identified gaps in processes, driving remediation through structured action plans and governance reporting. I was also responsible for continuous process improvement, leveraging AI and automation to enhance reporting, streamline operations, and reduce manual risk. with a focus on improving efficiency, data analysis, and decision-making frameworks.
