Learn how developers manage and share their code using GitHub. Students will also explore GitHub Copilot and learn how AI can become a coding companion while still understanding the code they write.

💻 VS Code Setup & Developer Tools

Start from the beginning with installation, configuration and setup of VS Code and the essential tools used by modern developers.

🗓️ The 8 Week Journey

Week 1 | Welcome to the Developer World

Set up VS Code, configure your development environment, create a GitHub account and learn the fundamentals of Git and GitHub.

Week 2 | Python From Scratch

Learn programming fundamentals including variables, conditions, loops, functions, lists and dictionaries through hands on exercises.

Week 3 | JavaScript & The Web

Learn JavaScript fundamentals and use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create an interactive frontend.

Week 4 | Build Your Backend

Discover what happens behind the screen. Build APIs with FastAPI and learn how requests, responses and routing work.

Week 5 | Meet React

Rebuild the frontend using React. Learn components, state, events and how modern web applications are structured.

Week 6 | From Pieces to an Application

Connect the React frontend with the FastAPI backend and start turning individual components into one working application.

Week 7 | Full Stack Build & Capstone

Bring everything together and build the capstone application. Students will test, debug, improve and add their own features.

Week 8 | Demo Day 🎤🚀

The final week is all about showcasing the work. Students will demonstrate their application, explain what they built, highlight its features and present their journey from idea to working product.
