My career has taken a rather unconventional path - from quantum physics to cutting-edge Generative AI. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Physics from IISc Bangalore, with two international research internships in quantum physics. I then transitioned into Data Science in banking, cleared CFA Level 1 in my first attempt, and pursued an MBA in Finance & Analytics from IIFT. From there, I moved into AI and Generative AI, eventually working on some of the most exciting problems in the space like building RAG enterprise solution. Today, I work with a big-tech client on cutting-edge GenAI and Agentic AI projects - building production-grade agentic systems using technologies and framweworks such as MCP, LangGraph, RAG, in-house agentic frameworks, guardrails, evaluation, observability and tracing. Along the way, I’ve cracked multiple Data Science and GenAI roles and experienced firsthand the challenges of switching domains, positioning your profile, preparing for interviews, and staying relevant as the technology evolves.
