During the call, I will share the datasets and some codes with you to be able to develop machine learning models in Drug Discovery.
In the pharmaceutical industry, small molecule drugs can pack a big punch – by tweaking cell machinery to fight diseases. Unfortunately, turning them from lab experiments to treatment is a slow process and treatments for common diseases may be hiding within chemical space, which is staggeringly large.
In this competition, you’ll develop machine learning models to predict the binding affinity of small molecules to specific protein targets.
Your work will contribute to advancing small-molecule chemistry used to accelerate drug discovery.
No knowledge of coding is needed. Only your motivation to learn and build applications in healthcare.
Added bonus: after successfully completion of the project, if interested, you could start a startup on your own.
