Honestly, this was one of the most real and straightforward conversations I’ve had. No sugar-coating, no false hopes — just practical advice from someone who actually knows what it’s like out there in the industry. While most consultants only seemed interested in my IELTS score and financial background, Rahul was the first to ask about what truly matters — my past projects, technical skills, and GitHub profile. That alone says a lot about his genuine intent to help students who are actually capable. What stood out even more was how Rahul didn’t just paint a glamorous picture of life abroad. Everyone talks about the ‘posh’ lifestyle, but no one mentions the taxes, work-life balance issues, or the real downsides of living in another country. Rahul addressed all of that upfront, making sure I was informed enough to make my own decision — not pressured into one. I’m really glad I got the chance to speak with him, and I have no doubt that anything he offers will come with real value. Thanks a lot for the honest guidance, Rahul
I bring over 7 years of experience in the software industry, spanning full-stack development, embedded systems, and even knowledge in VLSI, Power Systems, Renewable Energies from my academic background. Currently, I work as a Senior Automotive Embedded Software Engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH, one of Germany’s most prestigious engineering companies—also known for offering some of the highest salaries in the country.
I’ve been living in Germany for the past 6 years, steadily building both my professional career and personal life here as a first-generation immigrant. I hold permanent residency (I’m even eligible for German citizenship, but I’m not ready to give up my Indian passport just yet). With advanced B1-level German, I’ve been able to integrate meaningfully into German society and experience life here in its true depth.
Through my own journey, I’ve gained hands-on insights into studying in Germany, securing scholarships, finding internships, completing a master’s thesis, and ultimately landing 4 job offers from just 16 applications—all before finishing my master’s degree in just 2 years.
It’s not luck. It’s not magic. It’s about having a clear strategy, planning well before even arriving in Germany, and then following through with a combination of smart and hard work.
Education has been my closest companion since childhood. I’ve been fortunate to receive high-quality education at every stage—something made possible only because of my incredible parents, who gave their everything—day and night—to create a better future for me. I will remain forever indebted to them.
Today, I’m deeply committed to sharing my experiences and lessons honestly and openly, so that others—especially students and young professionals—can also find their way to Raise (R), Integrate (I), and Grow (G) in Germany 🇩🇪. This is the very reason I created RIG ⇾ Rahul In Germany.
When I talk to you, I see a younger version of myself—curious, hopeful, and looking for honest guidance. That’s why I try to be the mentor I once wished I had.
