Chit chat about life in Indian academia

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Physics at IIT Kanpur. I have been fortunate to have been born into a family of academics, with my father being a professor at IIT Delhi after gaining a PhD from Cambridge University and my mother obtaining her PhD from IIT Delhi. This gives me an insider's perspective of how academia functions in our country.
