Disha di really helped me get more confident, regarding the interview. The discussion was both subjective and academic. I'm really grateful and glad that I get to do these sessions with her.

The session was very informative! Disha shared her personal experiences candidly and guided me with some of my answers as well for PsyD interviews which was very helpful. Overall she had a warm approach acknowledging the anxiety around interviews which made me feel calmer and more confident.
Hi, I’m Disha Jain, a PsyD (Doctorate of Psychology) trainee at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun. With over 7 years of academic experience in the field of mental health, I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My work is rooted in two passions: guiding future psychologists and supporting emotional well-being.
1. As a Psychology Mentor,
Having gone through the challenges of psychology entrance preparation myself, I understand how overwhelming exams, interviews, application processes, and unclarity can feel.
I provide guidance on Clinical Psychology, PsyD, M.Clin.Psy/MPhil/ other RCI pathways, entrance exam preparation, interview readiness, study planning, and career direction. My approach combines practical strategies, conceptual clarity, and personalized support tailored to each student’s goals.
You matter. Your dreams matter. Let’s work towards them together.
2. As a Counsellor,
I strive to create a safe space where individuals feel truly seen and accepted, free from judgment even by themself. Cultivating mutual respect and trust in our therapeutic relationship, I value authenticity and genuineness. As we journey together, I embrace a partnership based on equality and collaboration, holding space with compassion and empathy.
I work with concerns such as stress, anxiety, overthinking, adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, academic pressure, career uncertainty, and personal growth.
I follow an eclectic therapeutic approach, drawing upon techniques from Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy and Psychoanalytic approaches. This allows me to tailor the counselling process to each individual’s unique needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
Therapy is a space of growth and change, but it is also a space of just ‘being’.
