I am appointed as a Professor of Economics at Texas A&M University System. I have academic research and teaching experience in Florida, California, Montana, Texas, Australia, and Turkey. I specialize in international trade, macroeconomics, trade finance, economic analysis with big data, econometric modeling, and policy evaluation. I use different statistical packages like STATA, SAS, and R. My research has been published in world-class journals like World Bank Economic Review, Southern Economic Journal, Economics & Politics, Applied Economics, and Journal of International Trade and Economic Development. My research has attracted around 200,000 dollars in grants so far from multiple institutions including universities and government agencies. I have consulting experience with many private firms, one-to-one advising experience on economic research with high school and college students, and consulting and refereeing experience associated with The Central Bank of Turkey and The Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey (TUBITAK). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Istanbul University, the oldest university in Turkey; and a Master's and a Ph.D. degree from Florida International University.
