What this session is
A warm, practical 1:1 conversation for women who are rethinking their careers, whether you're returning after a break, juggling a job with everything else, or simply unsure what comes next.
Career breaks happen for many reasons: children, caregiving, health, relocation, marriage, or needing time for yourself. None of them erase your skills or experience. Most women don't struggle because they lack ability. They struggle because career advice ignores the rest of their lives. This session starts with your life as it actually is, then builds a career plan that fits into it.
This session is for you if:
- You've taken a break and don't know how or where to restart
- You're working but feel stuck, stretched or unsure it's the right path
- You're wondering whether to return to your old field or try something new
- You want flexible, part-time or remote work, but don't know what's realistic
- You're worried about explaining the gap on your CV or in interviews
- You feel your confidence has faded, even if your skills haven't
What we'll cover
- Your life as it is now: your time, energy, responsibilities and support system, because a plan that ignores these won't last
- What you want now: your priorities may have changed since you last worked, and that's worth acknowledging
- Your skills and strengths: including those you've built during your break, like organising, managing, negotiating and caregiving
- Your realistic options: returning to your field, an adjacent role, flexible or part-time work, freelancing and consulting, returnship programmes, upskilling, or starting something of your own
- Talking about the break: how to explain it confidently on your CV, on LinkedIn and in interviews, without apologising
- Your restart plan: small, manageable steps for the next 30, 60 and 90 days
What you'll walk away with
- Clarity on the one or two directions that fit your life right now
- A simple 30-60-90 day restart plan with realistic steps
- Confident language to explain your career break
- A sense of what to learn, who to reach out to and where to look
- The reassurance that restarting is possible, and that you don't have to figure it all out at once
Who it's for
- Women returning after a career break of any length
- Working women feeling stuck, burnt out or unsure of their direction
- Mothers and caregivers looking for work that fits their responsibilities
- Women who have relocated and need to rebuild their careers in a new place
- Women considering freelancing, consulting or starting their own work
Why book with me
I retired before I turned 40, and I now choose the work I do and how much time I give it. I know from experience that a career doesn't have to follow one fixed path, and that designing work around your life is possible.
Over 15+ years, I've mentored thousands of students, lawyers, founders and knowledge professionals through 1,000+ training and mentoring sessions, with a focus on career readiness, employability and personal branding. As a TEDx speaker, I advocate for women's independence, both career and financial, and I understand the pressures women carry that most career advice ignores.
Before the session
Share your CV or LinkedIn profile (even if it's outdated), a few lines about your break or current situation, and what you're hoping to figure out, at least 24 hours before the call. There's no need to prepare perfectly. Come as you are.
