Deal with critique and feedback like a spellcaster with this BTS-inspired tool! The Magic Shop Feedback Sifter transforms overwhelming feedback into actionable steps, blending spells, structure, and reflection.

How It Works:

1. Chaos Counter:

- Start by leaving all your chaotic thoughts and raw emotions here before stepping into the shop. This is brain dumping!

2. Sort Your Potions:

- Distressful feedback goes into the Blue-Grey Potion (to process and sit with). These can be words that cut deep, feedback that brings up past trauma, nudges that rejection sensitivity.

- Affirming, actionable feedback goes into the Purple Potion(steps you can take forward). This can be hard to find when blue grey takes over. Try and find actual verbs in feedback. What have you been told TO DO? If you can't find any, you have the right to ask for the feedback-giver for Reframing!

3. Pause and Reflect:

- Step back before diving into action—you don’t have to tackle everything at once.

4. Design Your Spell:

- Think of a goal (your “magic act”) and create a spell (the biggest task to make it happen).

- Break the spell into a recipe*

—chunk it into micro-steps or tasks.

- For example: Editing a report can begin with separating actionable steps, proofreading paragraph by paragraph, or gathering specific resources.

Task Paralysis Tip: Even a list of tasks can feel overwhelming, so I like to think of them as parts of a spell. Each step in the spell contributes to the larger magic, but the order doesn’t always matter—you can start with the easiest or most accessible part. Just like spells require mixing different ingredients or saying incantations, the focus is on completing the whole ritual, not the sequence. Starting anywhere moves you closer to the magic being complete.
