I have an extensive experience as a practitioner and trainer in the area of Data Science, AI and Engineering with 12 plus years’ combined experience in the Oil & Gas, Retail and Training industry. Focus areas in data science are reliability analysis, subsurface analysis, reinforcement learning and NLP. Currently a Head of Data Science, I am leading a team of 15 talented data scientists to solve complex upstream/downstream reliability, optimization and MLOps problems. I have a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering Degree from Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 2014; and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours) majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia in 2010. Hobbies include spending time with my son or challenging myself in the gym pumping heavyweights targeting overall fitness. I also run my own hobby-projects using technologies like IOT and cloud computing at home. Otherwise, I spend time mentoring and sharing knowledge with the public via various mediums.
