I’m Pratyush Bansal, a Lead Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience in designing and developing distributed microservice architectures that are scalable and resilient. I specialise in building high-throughput systems that handle millions of users and data points efficiently. Currently I am working as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft. Previous to this, I was leading development at Dream11, where I spearheaded the redesign of a leaderboard system capable of managing 20 million concurrent users and 50 million contest entries, achieving a 50% reduction in response time and cutting operational costs by 60%. In my previous roles at Microsoft, OYO, and MphRx, I’ve led core system overhauls, developed innovative solutions, and consistently delivered results that improve performance, scalability, and reliability. My technical expertise spans across Java, distributed systems, cloud technologies (AWS), NoSQL databases (Aerospike, Cassandra, Redis), and microservice frameworks (Spring Boot, Vertx, Kafka). I’m passionate about creating robust solutions and optimising large-scale systems to ensure seamless user experiences. When I’m not coding, I’m either reading, traveling, or deep-diving into the latest tech trends, including consensus algorithms, system performance optimisation, and microservices security.
