Prasanth works as a Security analyst at Google, specializing in Threat Detection Operations, where he focuses on identifying and mitigating external and internal threats across large-scale enterprise and cloud environments. His work centers on detecting previously unseen exploitation patterns, malicious behaviors, and novel attack techniques, translating them into durable, behavior-based detections that reduce organizational risk. He focuses on behavior pattern extraction to surface malicious activity even when tooling, payloads, or techniques are previously unseen. This includes designing new threat scenarios, developing practical detection solutions, improving detection pipelines using SQL-based logic, and continuously tuning signals to expand coverage while reducing false positives and operational toil. He regularly investigates incidents involving access abuse, insider threats, data exfiltration attempts, and coordinated attacker activity, including advanced and nation-state–aligned behaviors (without attribution). Prior to Google, Prasanth worked at Ernst & Young (EY) as a Cybersecurity Consultant, supporting 50+ clients across 70+ security engagements. He was recognized with the Budding Star Award within six months and received a double promotion within one year for consistent delivery and high-impact findings. His work spanned web application, network, and cloud security assessments, APT-style simulations, and incident response and system hardening across regulated and large enterprise environments. As part of his consulting and research work, he built custom Burp Suite extensions using Python to automate detection of broken access control patterns, SQL injection–related behaviors, and sensitive parameter identification, improving testing efficiency and coverage across large applications. He also created Capture The Flag (CTF) environments for major client engagements and industry hackathons. Academically, Prasanth is a Gold Medalist in M.Sc. Cybersecurity and is currently pursuing a part-time PhD focused on automotive cybersecurity and physical security systems. He maintains an active background in responsible disclosure and security research, with acknowledgements from organizations including Google, Microsoft, Apple, Cloudflare, and others.
