She has over 9 years of experience in tax and regulatory services, with a focus on the education sector. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary from India, and has completed online certificate programs in entrepreneurship essentials from Harvard Business School and is pursuing international taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK. At Ekya Schools, Prasanna led the strategic planning and execution of the school's expansion and transformation initiatives, in alignment with its vision of changing India's education landscape. She worked with multiple stakeholders, including the board, the management, the faculty, to ensure the quality and sustainability of the school's operations and offerings. She also leveraged her expertise in tax and regulatory matters to advise the school on compliance and governance issues, as well as on potential partnerships and collaborations. Prior to joining Ekya Schools, Prasanna was a Manager at EY, where she was a core member of the firm's education practice in India. She advised major corporates and not-for-profit entities in the education sector on various aspects of tax and regulatory structuring, compliance, and optimization. She also handled complex international taxation cases, involving tax treaties, inbound and outbound investments, and mergers and acquisitions. Prasanna has developed exceptional team management and client relationship skills over her years of experience at EY. Prasanna is passionate about education and innovation, and aims to contribute to the development and transformation of the education industry in India and beyond. She is also a lifelong learner, who constantly seeks to upgrade her knowledge and skills. She has been a consistent academic achiever, having secured the state second rank in her Class XII exams, and clearing both the CA and CS exams in the first attempt.
