I am Prantik Basak, an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Faculty of Law, Marwadi University, Rajkot, and a Ph.D. researcher at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata (Thesis Submitted). My academic journey began with a B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Scottish Church College, Kolkata, followed by an M.A. in Political Science at the University of Calcutta, specializing in Contemporary India. I have previously served as a Guest Lecturer at Rabindra Bharati University and was awarded the prestigious Don Lavoie Fellowship (Mercatus Center, George Mason University, USA) and the Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship. I also qualified the UGC-NET (LS) in Political Science. My research and teaching interests include student politics, populism, constitutional law, identity politics, gender, and governance in contemporary India. I have co-edited volumes such as Politics of Populism in India and Pedagogy in Practice: Bridging the Disciplinary Divide for Law Educators, and published in journals like Library Progress International (Scopus indexed) and Lex Revolution. I have presented papers at both national and international platforms — including the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) and Nirma University (India) — and received Best Presenter Awards for my contributions. Beyond academia, I have also worked as a political and linguistic expert with Duco Experts on global projects related to governance, politics, and culture. Through Topmate, I aim to mentor students and early researchers in developing academic writing skills, publishing in journals, preparing for conferences, and building strong research profiles. I also offer guidance on career planning in academia, higher studies, and public policy.
