Hey there! (~ 30 seconds read) With over 8+ years of experience in Data Science, ML and NLP, and a Masters of Science in Data Science and Bachelor of Technology in Engineering, I am leading the Business applications Copilot team (GenAI in GitHub, Visual Code, etc.) at Microsoft based out of HQ Seattle. I came from a metallurgical/mining engineering branch and carved my way out to do one thing I was passionate about: working with computers! Be it coding, making impressive powerpoint presentations, or implementing algorithms from scratch, I learned how to excel at different aspects of computing with just one driving force: "I love doing this, I can do this and I will." Starting from a syllabus from MIT's Bachelors of Computer Science and using open sourced resources, I have build my knowledge base bit-by-bit. Also, I always had a flair for teaching, mentoring people to spread what I have learned and how I have learned. I am not a role model (well, far from that) but I believe anyone can grab the required skill set provided: 1. You work hard enough 2. Something drives you (could be financial situation, passion or anything else) 3. Directed guidance.
