About me
Pranidhi Sawhney is a Development Economist working as a Consultant at the World Bank in the Trade and Regional Integration Unit and at the Asian Development Bank in their Department Economic Research.
Her work revolves in the public policy arena and mainly focuses on international trade, gender mainstreaming, regional integration/South-South Cooperation, nexus between trade and climate change and value chain development across Africa and South-East Asia. She has extensive experience in studying the nexus between trade and gender, wherein she is advocating to push for women’s representation in the trade ecosystem.
Her work primarily focuses on Aid for Trade programmes under the South-South Development concept.
Voluntarily, she is currently serving as the Curator of New Delhi Hub, Global Shapers Community (initiative of World Economic forum) where she is leading multiple local impact projects on financial literacy and digital inclusion. She was nominated as the Davos50 Delegate to represent Global Shapers Community in WEF Annual Meeting held in Davos 2024.
Previously, she has served short stints at the ILO New Delhi, UNFPA Geneva and BRICS International Forum, among others. Pranidhi is a postgraduate in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an undergraduate in Economics from the University of Delhi.
