I still remember the nerves before my first embassy visit. The imposter syndrome. The fear that someone would think I didn't belong. But I showed up anyway. And slowly, the rooms that once intimidated me became rooms where I was invited back. I was recognized as the inaugural Best Speaker at Harvard's HPAIR ( a first in the conference's history). I pitched my fintech startup, GlobalPay, at Web Summit Lisbon. I was selected for the U.S. Embassy's Young Leaders Cohort and have met ambassadors from the UK, EU, Argentina, Spain, Peru, and South Africa. I interned with Shehzad Poonawalla, I've led teams for Staarae (a US VC-backed startup) and UnPlan (by IIT Kharagpur graduates). I was a Top 10 finalist in India at the Global Student Startup Competition (South Korea). I held 3 leadership positions in the top societies of my college. But none of this happened overnight.
