An eternal student. At 18startup we have set out to do our part to build entrepreneurial capabilities for students at college level to help the nation leverage its demographic dividend phase. My journey from “Trainee” to “social entrepreneur” is about consistent initiative, learning and adding value, playing a gamut of roles from engineering, sales, operations, finance and strategy, across varied industries viz. manufacturing, banking, logistics and technology, and I would like to help the students get a headstart by building a community that shall support aspiring entrepreneurs gain sufficient insight into the world of business even before they finish college. 25 years in corporate India with Gmmco, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, ICICI Bank, NTC Logistics and Rane t4u, in that order. I have had a change every year, either in location, sector, product or role. I learnt from an entrepreneur that sustainable happiness and prosperity lies in serving the unserved and those in need. I founded Rydo, a ride-hailing platform for Bharath using auto-rickshaws, aiming to impact a million auto driver households by leveraging data for their financial inclusion and economic well-being. I've been writing since college, publishing "Ranjan and his Many Lives" in 2019, praised for its depth by Mr. Swaran Singh IAS (Retd.). Additionally, I played a small role in the Netflix movie "C/O Kaadhal," finding joy in exploring new situations through acting.
