About me
Pragya Chaube is a science policy specialist with a PhD in Genetics and Bioinformatics from the University of Sheffield, UK. Her Science Policy work focuses on open science, data governance, and the ethical inclusion of marginalized communities in scientific research, particularly in genomics and AI. She has worked extensively in science communication and policy, including with the Department of Science & Technology (Government of India) - Centre for Policy Research at the Indian Institute of Science and the UNESCO Chair in Open Science, leading surveys and workshops on equitable access to data. As co-chair of the CODATA International Data Policy Committee, she plays a key role in shaping global data policies. She is also actively involved with the Open Science South Asia Network (OSSAN), promoting regional collaboration and advocacy for open and inclusive science.
