Hi, I’m Pooja Negi - an Assistant Professor, PhD scholar, and content creator. I qualified UGC NET (thrice) at 21 and started my journey as an Assistant Professor soon after. Over the years, I’ve experienced the realities of teaching, academic career planning, PhD applications and research, while also building my own presence as a content creator on YouTube & Instagram. Through my content and conversations with students, I’ve realised that a lot of people don’t necessarily need more information they need someone who can help them understand their options, ask the right questions, and figure out what actually makes sense for them. That’s what I hope to offer through my Topmate sessions. You can book a session with me if you need guidance around: • Assistant Professor Career — career paths, job applications, interviews, teaching roles and what the academic career actually looks like • UGC NET & Academia — understanding what to do after NET and how to plan your next steps • PhD — choosing a research direction, understanding the PhD journey, research proposals and navigating academia • Content Creation & YouTube — getting started, finding your niche, building content consistently and understanding the creator journey I won’t promise you a shortcut or tell you there is one “right” career path. Instead, I’ll share what I’ve learned from my own journey, the mistakes I’ve made, and the things I wish someone had told me earlier so you can make more informed decisions about yours. If you’re at a crossroads and need some clarity, let’s talk. ❤️
