A former teacher, and a perpetual learner , I have an extensive 18 years’ experience in the field of school education. I am a Harvard Alumnus and have worked as a trainer to help teachers create ‘Thinking Classrooms’ to prepare the future learners develop 21st century skills like communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. I have designed and delivered trainings for teachers on STEM, inquiry based learning ,NGSS ,multiple intelligence, classroom management et al. With an eye for detail and varied experience in content writing, curriculum development, lesson planning, rubric assessment, content review for the K-12 segment; I am skilled at process setting, recruiting and people management. A postgraduate in Botany from Miranda House (DU), I started my career as a Teacher in DAV school and then towards the corporate path to be a part of organizations like NIIT, idiscoveri Pvt Ltd and The curriculum company and Fitkids Education and training Pvt.Ltd. . Having attended a lot of workshops on Blended Learning Designs aimed at developing lesson plans that emphasize on the development of multiple levels of thinking and use of tactics that have edutainment value (ETMA) and innovative teaching technologies (Wipro Applying Thought in school), I have acquired a good hold towards providing holistic learning experiences to the learners. Taking my knowledge further, I attended a certificate course on Connecting the Mind, Brain and Education by Harvard Graduate School of Education, Boston, USA. The program was presented by eminent faculties like Kurt Fischer the founding President of the International Mind, Brain and Education Society and David Rose co-founder of CAST (an organization with a mission of improving education through multimedia and cotemporary research in cognitive neuroscience).
