A Chartered Accountant by education, a proud Statutory Auditor by profession and a Team player by expression, I am Pooja Agrawal, currently working as Associate director at BSR & Co LLP (KPMG Member firm) . I started my career with Deloitte as a Statutory auditor where I moved up the corporate ladder to managerial roles. With a total experience of 15 years, I am skilled in auditing companies of various industries like manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceutical, media and entertainment, advertising, consumer products, BPO, travel etc. As a statutory auditor we report on the internal financial controls of the organisation, whether they are designed, implemented and operating effectively. Also we report on their financial statements, whether they have been prepared as per the Indian GAAP and accounting standards and are free from material Misstatements. Thus I demonstrate having experience in understanding the internal financial control that a company must have in place. Also I demonstrate having knowledge of financial closing and reporting. I believe in honesty, sincerity and positive attitude to work. I believe in willingness to work as skills can be learnt if you are willing to. I believe in collaboration as with right team, everything can be achieved. I like to mentor young audit professionals find meaning and fulfilment in their work by teaching them Audit is Logic and not just check in the box. I am also a certified life coach from Universal coaching federation and passionate about empowering employees at workplace to manage their stress and mental well being.
