With 11 years of experience in the development sector, I am a policy analyst and a researcher on gender equality, peace, and human rights issues. I am also a queer affirmative psychologist and a human rights activist, passionate about working at the intersection of mental health, human rights of queer persons, human rights of trafficked survivors, community leadership, and policy engagement. My core competencies include evidence-based systemic analysis of phenomena, facilitation of community consultations and participatory strategy planning for policy changes, and fostering collaborations among community stakeholders for effectively engaging with policymakers. I have co-designed and conducted multiple studies to understand the impact of existing policies and policy gaps on vulnerable communities, and to inform the policymaking process with the lived experiences and expertise of impacted community members and professionals working at the community level. My mission is to work collaboratively towards systemic changes that make lives better, by bridging the gaps between the system and the people that the system wishes to cater to.
