About my Journey and Myself The past 5 years from 2017-2022 have been a great learning curve as i pursued my call to become a career diplomat. Consequently, I gave several attempts at one of India's toughest exams i.e UPSC and was fortunate enough to have appeared in UPSC Mains 2020 and 2021. I also appeared for UPSC Forest Mains 2021 which basically means to be in Top 1200 students out of the 5 Lakh students who appeared for prelims that year. However as destiny would have it, I couldn't clear the exam. This was a big setback and I needed time to come to terms with it. Hence I took a break to figure out my 'next move'. During this break I followed my long standing love for Competitive Gaming. I picked up one of the most popular gaming titles i.e BGMI and played as a professional esports athlete. Being a team game, we performed well at several tournaments and scrims. During this time I also started working as a Subject Matter Expert in Political Science and International Relations (my Optional Subject during UPSC days) for an Education Startup based in Mohali. Eventually I began to see how the EdTech sector and the Gaming sector were using vast data streams for their growth. As i explored further, I realised that pretty much every domain is using data for their growth. This sparked my interest in data analytics and I began attending workshops and started talking to several mentors and industry professionals. This gave me clarity about my much awaited 'next move'. From here on, i started to upskill myself in required tech skills and soft skills. I am currently enjoying the process and looking forward to a good opportunity in the field of Data Analytics.
