Why doesn't this approach help in clearing interview Round?

The system design interview is more of a conversation not a written exam.

Many times, candidates make an impression with strategic responses, which is why interviewers often experience psychological pressure to avoid making the wrong hire.

That’s why the interviewer, typically with substantial practical experience, aims to assess your problem-solving skills from all angles by asking cross-questions rather than relying solely on theoretical answers. Their goal is not just to evaluate your theoretical knowledge, but also to ensure they’re making the right hire.

My Experience in the Technical Interview Process?

I have over 7 years of experience in the technical interview process and 3 years of experience conducting interviews for Tech Lead positions. During this time, I’ve personally conducted more than 50 system design interviews. Additionally, I have gained valuable insights from working alongside other interviewers with diverse perspectives, which has further enriched my understanding of the interview process.
