Backend Engineering Mock Interview

A 60-minute mock that simulates a real backend engineering interview round.

This is different from system design — here we go deeper into:

→ API design — REST, gRPC, pagination, error handling

→ Database — schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies

→ Concurrency — thread pools, connection pools, async patterns

→ Debugging — "your API is slow, walk me through how you'd fix it"

→ Trade-offs — SQL vs NoSQL, sync vs async, monolith vs microservices

How it works:

→ 40 min: I ask backend-focused questions, you solve and explain

→ 20 min: Detailed feedback — what was strong, what needs work

I've built backend systems at Flipkart (payments, millions of daily transactions) and Harness (large-scale CD platform). I'll evaluate you the way a real backend interviewer would.
