Have you ever wondered what it takes to transition from a Customer Service role to a Data Analyst role? ๐Ÿค”

What about transitioning from a Warehouse Worker role to a Data Analyst role? ๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿšƒ ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ป

You are not alone! I get on average 15 messages a day on Linkedin from people asking me how to pivot into a Data Analyst role.

Why am I being asked that question?

I do not have a STEM degree from a prestigious university. โŒ

I was a warehouse worker two years ago but yet managed to transition into a Data Analyst role without breaking the bank. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ‘บ

I followed a skilled-based strategy focused on acquiring the relevant skills necessary to become a Data Analyst โ™Ÿ

I took a year of learning across multiple platforms such as Coursera, Udacity, DataCamp, Dataquest, and Udemy.

I got to understand the uniqueness of each of these platforms and the benefits each has to offer.

There are so many courses out there to learn fundamental data analyst skills - Excel, SQL, and Tableau (or Power BI).

The problem is finding the right course that will get you up to speed in the shortest possible time to get a job.

My over 1-year experience on these online learning platforms has given me a rare understanding of their course offerings and a general feel of the platforms.

I created for myself a targeted learning plan that helped me learn the required skills which made me job-ready within 6 months. ๐ŸŽฏ

I have improved on this plan and I'm making it available to everyone.

This is a personalized learning plan combined with a skill assessment that covers the following:

  1. Current skill set (hard and soft) based on your most recent jobs
  2. The skill gap between your current skill set and the fundamental data analyst skill set
  3. Learning preferences based on a survey that covers your learning persona (type of learner, budget, motivation)
  4. A learning plan with selected courses that help you bridge the skill gap to Data Analyst proficiency in 3 - 6 months.

I have facilitated Data Analyst courses for my current employer (RBC) with the attendance of over 100 employees from different departments across different geographies enrolling in the course. A good number have transitioned to Data Analyst roles through my guidance.

Breaking into Data Analytics has never been easier than it will be in 2024. Many will assume the title of Data Analyst this year. Why not make it your 2024 bucket list challenge to become a Data Analyst?

Your first Data Analyst role is just a few courses away and I'm your guide on this fun learning journey. ๐Ÿงญ
