Parnita Agal Gupta is a seasoned legal and public policy professional with over six years of experience spanning litigation, regulatory affairs, and digital governance. She holds a B.Com LLB (H) from Amity University and an LLM in Criminal Justice from Queen Mary, University of London. She began her career in litigation, handling civil and matrimonial matters with independent practitioners, developing a strong foundation in legal research, drafting, and advocacy. At the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), she worked on regulatory and legal matters with regional committees and the Appellate Authority, contributing to legal opinions and policy documentation. At the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), she was part of the Internet Governance Division, supporting India’s engagement at global forums such as ICANN and IGF, and working on policy briefs, digital governance, and capacity-building frameworks. Her transition to policy was catalyzed through the Policy in Action program by YLAC, and she was selected as an inSIG Fellow 2024 for her growing impact in internet governance. Parnita currently serves as Senior Associate – Public Policy at Chase India, where she advises on emerging issues in the digital economy, including AI, cybersecurity, and digital governance.
