I earned my B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Kashmir in 2011, followed by an M.Sc. in Biotechnology in 2014 and a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology in 2020 from the National Institute of Immunology, India. During my academic training, I was awarded two prestigious scholarships from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Tan Laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Irvine, where I study temporal gene regulation in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Chlamydia trachomatis.
