From the get-go, I loved to understand how things worked, right from RC cars to helping assemble my first PC in 2007. I, Omkar Kulkarni, am a Technology & Cloud consultant and enthusiast. Technology can enable the business to reach newer customers as we move to ubiquitous connectivity, enhance the end-user experience, and reach new heights. The solutions that I have helped build and scale touch the lives of 160M+ users daily while saving the businesses more than $3M year on year. My people skills have helped me lead multi-functional and multi-vendor teams to deliver the projects and have consistently gone beyond to provide modular solutions using custom or cloud-native technology. I ran my family business for a short while and set up my freelancing team. This gave me insights into the end-to-end lifecycle of a business, right from setting it up to scaling it to outsourcing. Using these skills, I have helped scale up the cloud division for start-ups & midsize companies to offer new solutions and product offerings as a Centre of Excellence lead. It allowed the businesses in creating newer revenue streams. My analytical skills and the ability to solve problems creatively has aided me in my professional growth and has continuously proved an asset to the organization. My leadership skills have been honed and acknowledged through the management responsibilities handed to me. I have mentored technical support staff (headcount 20) and my peers alike to enable them to reach their goals, may it technical or managerial. My technical and subject-matter expertise reflects in my work qualitatively and quantitatively. One of my favourite works as SRE was to manage a fleet of 800+ servers and have secure CI/CD deployment to production in 25 mins with templatized infrastructure as code. I am keen to learn and grow in my areas of interest, and a testimony to that are my 9+ certifications in Cloud & Agile. I am AWS certified x5, GCP certified x3, CKA certified, Agile, and more. I have worked in various capacities like Solutions Architect, Lead DevOps, Technology Consultant and Product Owner/Manager. I possess an outcome-driven and hands-on approach and have helped multiple businesses define and achieve their goals. I am passionate about leading complex and impactful programs.
