Marketing wasn't always my thing. But... In 2019, I got my first client as a content writer. From then on, it was a roller coaster ride. After several new clients and new courses, I realized that writing copy was a lot more exciting than writing "just content." Then I found myself buried in a lot of books and courses on copywriting, sales, and marketing. In a few weeks, I reached a stage where whenever someone called me up to write "content" for them, I'd feel irritated just because they didn't say "copy". 😅 Clients liked my copy too. They praised me for it. They felt that their communication sounded better when I wrote for them. It was natural for me to slide into marketing. I started giving marketing advice and soon teamed up with my closest friend to start a marketing consulting company, Simak&Omar. On the side, we also started a marketing newsletter where we shared what we'd learned as marketers. Maybe you should check it out. The biggest thrill I had recently was bringing down an FB ad CPR by more than 80%. Results! Exciting results! That's what I want to help companies achieve through the agencies I run. It's 2022 now.
