I am a software engineer turned career coach especially teaching social intelligence. During the eight years that I worked as a software engineer, I could not help, but see people struggling to communicate, put their point forward, shying away from speaking up in meetings. Although I also struggled with these issues, but I had found ways to learn these skills, but I guess not everybody is so passionate about learning by themselves. So I started giving advice to people, which I loved. Then I took charge to on board freshers and taught them the social skills along with technical skills. But technical skills part used to always over shine the social skills part. One day, I got the idea to start consulting people about social skills like negotiation, persuasion, influence, reading people, learning, social dynamics. Turns out people call this career coaching. So here I am calling myself a career coach, but my persona will be more like a bro(that was my nickname in my office by the way).
