Hello, I’m Nitya — a visual designer, researcher, and collector of stories. I’m currently at the Rhode Island School of Design as a RISD Fellow, where my practice weaves together design, climate justice, and indigenous knowledge systems. My work is deeply rooted in time spent with tribal communities in Central India — listening, learning, and reflecting. I’m drawn to the ways design can hold space for memory, resistance, and repair. Whether it's through visual storytelling, collaborative projects, or archival experiments, I’m interested in how we can reimagine education, aid, and representation — especially in places where marginalization has been normalized.
