When I was 16, I climbed a mountain. Metaphorically, that is. In reality I received the National Bal Shree Award (for Creative Writing), the children's equivalent of the Padma Shree award from the President of India - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam - at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. While competing, I thought of quitting a hundred times. And that’s a lowball estimate. Despite the varied challenges, the mental and physical fatigue - I persevered. The singular goal of winning in sight, I kept on going. I’m that person. Once I take up something, I make it happen. Today I don’t have to climb any mountains. But I do try to move them. One pixel at a time.
