I'm currently working with the Analytics team in GE, India. I started my career as an engineer in the manufacturing sector. This gave me an opportunity to learn about everything that happens behind the scenes of making a product. I pursued my masters in materials science with my research focused on additive manufacturing, an emerging technology. I joined the Global Research Centre at GE after my graduation where I currently work on some of the toughest challenges and niche technologies. At GE, I worked on some of the industrial revolution 4.0 projects and applied digital solutions in my domain. With a curiosity to learn more about artificial intelligence, I completed my postgraduate in Data Science from IIIT and built a strong fundamental understanding of statistical and machine learning algorithms. I have applied these to solve problems in different domains and successfully deployed models into production at customer site. I'm strong in programming languages such as Python. MySQL, C++. I have worked with statistical software such as JMP, Tableau and Minitab. My curiosity to learn new things and passion towards innovation have motivated me to continuously improve through these rapid technological advances. Although I have taken a slightly unconventional path to becoming a data scientist, I believe my experiences thus far have strengthened my ability to see the bigger picture while solving a problem.
