About me
I am a self-to-society change educator committed to weakening the cycle of suffering (i.e., hurt people hurt people) by facilitating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Child-Led Social Action Projects (SAP).
My professional journey began as a lawyer, where I gained deep insight into the cyclical nature of trauma that permeates our lives in both gross and subtle ways. Realising that the law could not effectively address the deep-rooted social issues at the level of beliefs and attitudes, I founded Advaita Holistic Learning. Through Advaita, we facilitate SEL workshop series, host talk circles, and mentor students aged 8-19 to launch child-led social action projects within their schools, homes, and communities.
Our work spans collaborations with parents, teachers, school leaders, and local governments (panchayats) across Karnataka. To date, I have designed and delivered training modules on social emotional sensitisation and compassionate citizenship to over 4,000 students.
Looking ahead, I am passionate about expanding my work to engage younger children, parents, expectant parents, juvenile offenders, and trauma survivors in the next three years. My goal is to create environments where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can courageously and joyfully confront uncomfortable yet necessary truths, reflect on the interconnectedness of their actions and inaction, deeply connect with their communities, and collaboratively lead change through social action.
